I just loved this video. I kinda wish I had something like this in my house, a constantly changing portrait of beautiful women throughout history. One thing I noticed was that there were no African American women included, not even in the contemporary works. There were a few colorful women but no women of color.
amazing video. it was sort of dizzyingly overwhelming. even when there are obviously so many depictions of women in art, i feel like all the ones in the video were very similarly and canonically depicted.
the mona frida certainly was startling….like i said, i love days like that when something unexpected completely commands your attention.
It is so strange how they’re all depicted so similarly. I found them all to be either very serious or somewhat seductive. What about ladies having fun? Ladies have fun, right?

That video is even more fun if you imagine de Kooning’s Woman I coming in at the end…
